Hi. Would it be too much to ask that we have a sticky here for people like me who need to know some very rudimentary basics?

What I would like to see, in one sticky thread (that is maintained heh heh) are:
— ABBREVIATIONS for software, technology & companies related to webhosting. Some of these terms are just completely over my head, and I hate to have to ask.
— LINKS for helpful "Get Started" sites, including . . .
————Control Panel companies
————Free Web Page Design sites
————HTML Help Pages
————Bells & Whistles
————etc.

Some of us are so new to this that it would be helpful to first orient ourselves with the Lexicon of Hostology heh heh.

Thank you, and I apologize if you have actually done this somewhere and I couldn't see it. The site is, um, a little crowded . . .

For example, "Fantasico" or "Fantastico" . . .

However it is spelled, does anyone have a link? I experimented and was taken to a dating sight LOL.

These are the kinds of things I wish you had links for. CPanel?

This would be very good for people who are just getting into the hosting industry. I would be willing to contribute my ideas to this type of thread/sticky and I am certain many others would. Making it a sticky would be up to the admins, as most stickys cost money.

You can ask and say you are totally clueless to some of the terminology, and caring members will explain to you :) I have been in the same situation many years back, where people who emerged from the womb were suddenly experts, and couldn't understand that not all were born with a silver server in their mouths :)

It is fantastico, click here (http://cpanelthemes.com/fantastico.php) to visit their website and find out what this does when added to CPanel.
