You may wish to do a search for them, theve had several major outages, and it seems that their customers find it impossible to contact them period.. But again i would advise you simply do a search

Perfectly ok to suggest a search...but let them reach conclusion themselves...good or bad.

So unprofessional to speak negatively about your competitor here.

Go to the top of the page and click the "search" button. Type lightone and click search. You'll get a listing of all posts with that term in it. Read through them look at the dates on the posts. Sometimes a company had a problem a year ago but not having that problem now or vice versa, they were the darling a year ago and now they are not! LOL.

I have learned a lot through this method and use the search to even determine who has valid posts and knows what they are talking about and who doesn't. You do a serach for pinot for example and you see some pretty unknowledgeable posts but that didn't keep me from researching and I have used the PM feature (Personal Message) to ask some things in private. This is the best place to learn - no holds barred! Good Luck! :)

*wink* (for the newbie who might not know)

Incognito,

I wasnt putting down a competitor just simply stating facts. I believe im allowed to do that?? If the facts make a competitor look bad then thats their own fault not mine.

From a competitor -and- client: Charle's facts are correct. They are really friendly (this coming from a Southerner who is intrisically friendly) but can use some help on constant customer contact. I like little things like a call back from a human. They just upgraded their network and hit a few glitches (to be expected.)

In short: if you don't need 100% but want something that is 99% there and fast, they can't be beat. Just don't bet the bank on Cogent. ;-)

i'm currently their customer. Although it had a painful downtime for my server when they moved it to the new NOC, I still recommend you to try their service if you think price is the prime factor. Now my server is in the new NOC, it works well.

Support is nice, but don't demand you can get too much support from them, you get what you paid for!
