Help..

When I try to add an Addon Domain, it wont do it, it just keeps adding a damn subdomain.

What could be the issue here? It worked before

Are you logged into the WHM and not Cpanel itself?

testingforcpanel.com has been setup. It can be accessed via the subdomain testingforcpanel.com.rxpills.org. FTP access has been granted with the username testingforcpanel.com and the password changeme123.



Now, the subdomain shows in cpanel, but it doesnt show up under Addon Domains. I checked the public_html and the DIR is there as well, as well as the DNS entry, however this dosent solve the problem as we need to be able to see what addon domains there are for the account.


Anyone ever experienced this before?

System is FreeBSD 4.10

I'm afraid I'm not much of Cpanel expert to help you out here.

Maybe open a ticket with your hosting company?

NOCtroll - I've had something similar happen.

Basically I would setup domains (via cP not WHM) and they would dissappear off the addon domain list, parked, etc. but function properly.

I still can't get it to work and it has been 8 months or so - but its on my personal boxes so I don't overly care that much as they function properly.

Just update your WHM/CPanel. I believe will help to you. :)

I did try updating cPanel/WHM, but it still occurred.

WHM 9.9.8 cPanel 9.9.8-R118
FreeBSD 4.10-RELEASE-p5 i386 - WHM X v3.1.0

That is the version I am running.



Im trying to setup addon domains via cPanel, not WHM. I posted on cPanel boards but no ones replied yet.

Have you tried to update cpanel to the latest "stable" release?

I just went to "stable" release, but it didnt do much of anything.

Still the same errors..

We fixed it, by upgrading to the bleeding edge version.

You still might want to check your settings in the Tweak Settings area. There are settings in there that can block adding of Addon Domains....
