Hi,

We are looking for a host for webhostingtalk.com (this site), since we've got no money :) it would have to be free . You would get a line where the footer is 'e.g. hosted by xxxx' and that's about it.

In this case you may post direct to the board or to moderators@webhostlink.com.

Dang, we're certainly getting a lot of offers! (also had a few through mods@webhostlink). Thanks everyone, keep them rolling. The cut-off for this request is 5 p.m. American EST tomorrow (December 5th) - 9 a.m. Australian Eastern Standard time and 10 p.m. British time. We'll make our decision in the next week or so....

Might be interested depending upon what all would be required of us... Drop me a line.

Just in case you're wondering what requirements we require, we obviously need PHP/MySQL. Our bandwidth requirements is 9 GIGs/month minimum, with a view to further growth in the next 6 months (so you'd have to be flexible with bandwidth provision). Space shouldn't be too much of a problem as it's all in the MySQL DB anyway, so around 50-100mbs should be sufficient (unless Matt corrects me here).

Thanks again.

Well we would be happy to host this board as well. You choose, either shared site at VDI or we can put you on a box at DI that doesn't have a single other site on it and never will. It does have php4/mysql/and phpmyadmin , and you can put whatever you want on it. We only have there in the first place to increase our bandwidth qouta behind our switch. Anyway, just thought i would give ya options. contact me to get more details or run some tests on the box before you decide.

Email sent, i'd be most honored to help the board out that has basically put my company on the map. Of course I can't forget all of the customers who have helped me grow as well.

Good luck in your choices.

Damn it, some of you are desperate aren't ya? Some of you (who shall remain nameless) have even offered us monetary incentives to host with you. We're not that popular are we? :D

j/k, thanks for all the support - we really, really appreciate it. Now the problem is having to choose between all these wonderfully reliable + friendly hosts....

Remember, closing time is 5 p.m. EST tomorrow. Get cracking.

wow, money to host your site. some must be reaching. Well we aren't about to cough up money, but the server is here if you ever need it even if you choose elsewhere. The offer stands.

Tee hee. We accept all kinds of bribes :D

Seriously, lemme clarify : some of the hosts who have said they'll host our site have also said that they'd be willing to inject money WHT as well as HostInvestigator so that both run together (hence the 'monetary incentives' bit). However, that is really unnecessary at this point as HI is in a state of limbo. I very much doubt HI will be re-updated. Thanks to those hosts who have offered those incentives anyway.

BC/Matt -

You could e-mail me at vince@jtan.com if you are interested in a JTAN ProWeb account. Plenty of space, and plenty of bandwidth. I hope we could work something out. :)

The time has now passed, and on behalf of all the mods I'd like to thank everyone who have offered their services for their interest. Should such a situation arise again in the future I will be picking directly from the list of hosts that have offered their services. We deeply appreciate it.

Thanks again everyone!
