I ordered from you a few days prior to 4th February 2002. I got an email from you on the 4th February thanking for signing up and asking me to email you a username and password. I provided these in an email, as well as asking a few other questions. I sent that email on 4th February to sales@terrastudios.co.uk (I still have a copy).

I haven't heard from you since. Therefore I have no account. However you have billed my Mastercard. The company that does your billing, registerhouse.com, has a policy set out on their web site stating that if goods are not received by the purchaser within 48 hours then the purchaser should complain to them. I have complained to them and have had no response (I complained by email and telephone).

I am now taking the matter up with my credit card company (I have done so in fact) and intend to pursue it until I get charge back.

One thing I haven't done is email you again asking where my account details are. Some could say that it is my responsibility to do this. My personal view is that it isn't my responsibility to chase up a disorganised outfit that cannot manage their operations well enough to provide a customer with account details, despite still billing them for a service. I am simply not prepared to chase you up. My reason for this is if you are providing a service such as a virtual server, you should be organised enough to send out account details to customers you have billed. If you're not organised enough to do that, then one questions whether you are organised enough to run a web hosting company and manage web servers.

10692 is the order number from your billing company if you want to reference it.

I am now totally uninterested in your service, *simply* because you have failed to provide me with my account details despite billing me for them. As I have stated, it isn't my job to chase you. You should be organised enough to admin your end sufficiently. If you're not, then you're not worthy of my business.

Sorry.

I shall be pursuing a refund via my bank and Mastercard.

Hey what do you know.

I logged into my credit card company online just now and the money has been credited back to me. Result. But my comments still stand.

I obviously don't expect to be billed again for this service which I never received. My advice; sort your organisational and administration skills out. This goes out to other people selling web hosting too.

Just because you can buy a server in a data center and create a few user accounts DOESN'T mean you've got the brains to run a web hosting business.

Other web hosting companies that are useless at customer service based on my experiences:

Prohosters - their service was down for almost a week so they couldn't add my account. I told them to stick it and not bother creating it since I didn't have days to wait for them to fix their 'water' server. They created the account anyway but I got it cancelled and my money back.

Serverhost.com - emailed them on 3rd February about a dedicated server. Haven't had a reply. If you're going to advertise a service online and ask people to email you if you want to find out more, at least have the common courtesy to reply to those that do email you.

Lightone - crap a communicating things to clients and replying to them. From what I can tell, they over advertise on here and cannot deliver. That's also bad business. I've asked them questions a number of ways and have had to really hammer them to get a reply. I don't anticipate hearing back from them about enquiries I have made.

I feel I have every right to share my honest experiences on here about companies I have tried to deal with. Webhosting is not about cobbeling together a server or two and advertising on here. If you don't have the organisational skills to do the admin and customer services side of it; PLEASE DON'T BOTHER!

You do pay for what you get in this business and i'll be sticking with Pair.com (no problems in 4 years) until I can find something else that is as good.
