View Full Version : Best Reseller?
JAntonoff 01-04-2005, 07:27 PM Hi,
Can anyone tell me who they have had great experiences with?
I was looking at hostdime and solidhost. What do you guys think?
jmweb 01-04-2005, 07:56 PM Haven't heard much about hostdime in a while. Either way certainly let us know how it goes with the host you do decide to pick.
So far, I've used mg1hosting.com, entityhosting.com feztek.com and now I'm with zoneserv.com
mg1hosting.com- This is where I started out. The servers are top quality, and they have very good connectivity. They are an established company (They were dreamhost.com), and dependable. However, you pay a little more for the name, and the reliability.
entityhosting.com- good, service was a tad slow, good prices. I left because they had several downtimes (1 each, totaled about 7 hours over one month). That, and they kept billing my credit card, and once they billed it 5 times for one invoice, totalling around $300. however, once they realized it, they took the charges off the card. But later they did it again, then took it off again. They're an okay host.
feztek.com- The only reason I went with this company after leaving entityhost was because they were the first to offer a good price. That good price was partly because I worked for them for a short period of time. Their servers are medium quality, nothing special. Their connectivity is okay, the speeds for downloading were fast. The service was slow, and the servers went down twice, the second time they never came back up, they're still down.
ZoneServ.com- This is a good company. The service is fast, the servers are fast, and are the best servers one of my websites have been on to-date. The connectivity is fast, and they're dependable (as far as I've seen). I've only been with this host for a few days, so I really can't comment.
hope this helped.
You need to check out the hosting you choose in the end, or you'll get burned. I've learned this the hard way unfortunetly.

Sorry? "They were dreamhost.com"? You mean dream-studios.com, do you?
Yes, thankyou, sorry for the error :)

hostgator.com
Both are reliable and offer fairly good support.
Canglan 01-05-2005, 02:22 AM Gazzin.com and Turnkeyresellers.com are the ones I considered good and affordable.
ZoneServ was a nightmare for me. If you have big sites / high traffic sites, don't host with ZoneServ, they will terminate the accounts WITHOUT any notice.

Not true,
We will not terminate any one accounts having high traffic.
Thought you need to consider, we will not host a 200connetion a second forum on a 5$ package.
Regards,
Gil - ZoneServ.com.
haxtheplanet 01-06-2005, 03:07 AM I have been with hostdime for quite a few months, the support is great, I havent had an issue thats gone unresolved and they get on it quickly. The pricing is very affordable and they provide you with alot of features that you can pass on to your clients. Uptime is great as well, I have had over 99.7% uptime since I started monitoring my account a couple of months ago. The software on Hostdime's servers is WHM and cpanel which is very easy to use if you're just getting into it.

Gazzin.com since the 1ste October 2004 : 28 Outages - 98.792% Total Uptime! Is that so good for you?
JonaY 01-06-2005, 07:13 AM I can reccomend solidhost I have had a reseller account with them for about 6 months now.
Haven't had any major problems and when I need help or advise with something there support is fast and effective.
I highly reccomend them.
Cheers
Jona
jpetrov 01-06-2005, 08:55 AM I am almost 1.5 years with VSHosting.net - and since the end of february 2004 the server I am on (GNAX based) has been solid. (The new SLA is 99.9% and month after month - very true). Tony (the owner of the VSH since last summer) has got company's acts together, and with the new offers and options I have been more then happy and hopefully we will cooperate in the future.
Beware of the tricks of the companies that send you ip's and test file links on empty servers. PM me and I will give you ip's and test files on a full server (dual xeons). And you can see the difference by yourself.
This is not an ad - but a honest costumer opinion. I've been through some bad times in the past and after a while you learn how important is the good support and solid strategy of the company.
harleydavidson 01-12-2005, 06:52 AM Hi,
What I can say it is HostForWeb, I have only good experiences about them. Support is OK and truly 24/7.
Only problems what have been is it mail delivery problems, but those have been solved in one hour.

J-M
Ray_bman 01-12-2005, 02:06 PM I would suggest you check out TotalChoice Hosting (http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/). I have been using them for 2 years now, first using a standard, single domain account, and now as a reseller. Their customer service is excellent, very responsive, and informative.
Also, there forum is very active with responsive and knowledgeable moderators. Lastly, I have found them to truly be at a 99.9% uptime.
Good luck in your search.
The Stealthy One 01-12-2005, 02:21 PM I haven't been with them for long, but ResellersPanel seems to be pretty good. They have over 20,000 reseller accounts, so they must be doing something right...

iGabe 01-12-2005, 02:25 PM I know a number of people who have more than one account with ResellersPanel. Admittedly, I've setup 3 so far, and I know I'm not alone. Any company offering free reseller accounts and no limit on how many times you sign up is going to get lots of people to join up :) Many people setup multiple hosting sites this way(test out different pricing, etc etc).
Please note that I like ResellersPanel. I like it a lot actually.. despite the negative posts about their business model.
kelvinklay 01-12-2005, 04:14 PM go for reliable host who have great deals on reseller packages like ev1 or go for something which is cheap like lypha
