oh geez... who cares, your sitting there on a computer for 6 hours chatting, teaching, and fixing scripts. If it weren't for the fact that I'd get bored of sitting there on my computer for 6 hours I'd apply.

Well, this was discussed in another post when this person posted last time. Basically, for people not in countries that pay very little to make up for the loss here, it evens out -- so it's just not for us here in the US or other such countries. As far as the "I am online that long anyway, I may as well get paid", that's a little bit blinded in view. After all, your 6+ hours online 'anyway', likely don't mean you go out of your way for all those hours to deal with fixing and finding problems, dealing with potentially hostile or unreasonable clients and fixing and preventing other people's mistakes or whatever the case might be. If you think work is basically the same as surfing and chatting and doesn't involve any stress or dealing with possible headaches and annoyances, etc., then I want to know who would hire you?

Don't misunderstand me, I don't find it all to be an annoying chore that I hate, but it's not exactly worth $4 an hour for almost anyone either (in the US, Canada, UK, etc.). If it is, great. To each his own, but again, this poster made it clear that they expect to have people from countries that $4 an hour is good pay (or average pay), to apply, more than people from countries that would find it an insult to offer this much -- hence, this offer is not for people like us, but let's also not try and justify why it would be, unless you've worked in this field and have done server administration and support for a full time job with a company that has over a few hundred clients.

It's a fairly good offer for people in Canada since the US dollar is worth 1.58 Canadian so $4 / hr is really $6.23 which is $0.40 above minimum wage. :)

$4 is pretty cheap..but, I applied, and would take the job if offered...

I'm starting my own hosting company, and probably work 35-40hrs a week..while going to school.

Average pay probably works out to about $.50/hr...Not good at all :), but hey..i started it on my own, and it will grow...

So $4/hr isn't bad if your going to be working on your own anyway..might as well get a little more cash..I know it would help me grow quite a bit

Depends on were you are in Canada,

In BC, its something like $6/hour if you have not worked 500 hours, if you have worked 500 hours then minimum wage is around $8.

I GUESS it wouldn’t be bad if it DID count towards the 500 hours that BC’S Government set out if you are a teen with nothing better to do.

Thought I should add that,
