Hello, My kmail suddenly does not show any of the folders I had created. But its there in the /home/username/mail/ folder. It simply is not visible!!
Please help.

Look in your /home folder under /mail

All the folders are there in my home under Mail directory. But it is not seen in the kmail. I can only see the default folders there, and that too with all the previous mails lost!

Sorry, just reread your original post and saw that you noted my suggestion. What distro are you using?

The issue solved. Just changed the permission of tmp and new folders in /home/user/Mail/foldername/
