I AM NOT INTERESTED IN OUTSOURCING COMPANIES

I am interested in seeking technical support representatives for my company. I am gearing up to setup a 24/7 solution for my clients, that would monitor helpdesk tickets, as well as be logged into live chat and assist any users, and take phone calls.

Techs would have to be well versed in FREEBSD and RedHat. I am not looking for amateurs, or even mid-amateurs. I do not want to deal with a client who is complaining because a tech didnt know how to do something, or he did it wrong.

Techs must be able to, at a minimum, Download, Compile, Install, Customize,
Troubleshoot, use, and SUPPORT the following applications:

1. MySQL
2. Apache
3. Bind
4. ProFTPd
5. SSHd
6. PostgreSQL
7. Squid
8. Sendmail
9. Qmail
10. Webmin
11. Postfix
12. CVS
13. Samba
14: rsync

They must also have proven General System administrator abilities including:

· Simple Script Writing
· Scheduling Cron Jobs
· Adding and removing users
· Add / remove applications to startup procedures
· Configure (add and remove) Network Devices, Ports, and Protocols

I am looking for a staff of two, or three to manage clients servers. This is a FULL TIME position. All staff will be required to work together as a TEAM and will also be involved with our datacenter onsite staff members. I prefer someone that is NOT in the USA as costs will be lower. I will entertain position applications from those based in the USA, however I will be extremely skeptical of those who say they will take the position.

Salary: Based on experience, qualifications, as well as how dedicated you are to your business. This is not a easy job, I require full dedicated and reliability from my techs. No excuses.

Please email your qualifications/experience/salary requirements and WHY you think you'd be best for the position to:

---

If you know anyone who'd be interested in this position, please forward them this thread.

Thanks

I'm not sure if I understand why you would be skeptical about someone applying for this job that is in the USA.

Because a decent tech in the US will charge him atleast $25 per hr. On the other hand people outside of US will do the work for $25 a month.

Im not looking for something extremely cheap, but someone in the USA cant work for $1000-$1200/month full time.

Someone in Romania or the Philipines can however, and thats very good money atleast in Romania, as normal jobs are $200/month and good ones are $500-$600 (mostly from outsourcing), so $1000-$1200 is excellent.

Its full time for 8-12 hours a day, if you have debts, I dont think a $1000-$1200 monthly revenue is going to be enough for you for rent, food, gas, insurance, cable tv, cable internet, cell phone, clothes, water, electricity, etc
