Whocares 01-04-2005, 05:08 PM Hello will you send me reply back?
wheimeng 01-05-2005, 11:24 PM I think he is MIA, he didn't reply my email either.
Prisma-Breck 01-05-2005, 11:38 PM I'm not MIA, and you just sent me an email today. If you will be patient, I will reply to you within a resonable amount of time.
beniceman 01-06-2005, 02:56 PM the xeon is 512 kb cache or 1 mb cache?
can you offer Dual Opteron 244 instead of Dual Xeon 3.0?
btw, what does MIA mean?
Prisma-Breck 01-06-2005, 03:07 PM 2 x Intel Xeon 3.0GHz 800FSB 1MB Cache (HT)
Supermicro X6DVA-4G (video, 2 x gige lan, u320 scsi)
4 x 512MB PC-2700 DDR 333 ECC REG LP
2 x 36GB U320 15K RPM 80PIN SCSI HDD
Supermicro SC811S-420B (420W, 2 x U320 SCSI hotswap, rail kit)
2 x Intel Xeon Heat Sinks
Those are the more specific specs of the box.
MIA= Missing in action. Which... I'm not ;) I can do Opteron servers as well but there's a longer waiting period on those. I can probably do Opteron, but we don't keep them in stock as our standard servers so it could be up to 3-4 weeks delivery time. Let me know if you're interested and I'm sure we can work something out.
darn, this is killer deal, I'm rarely see any Dual Xeon 4GB ram deal at this price, though BW is a little low.
I hope you still can have this deal in the next few months so I can give you a try.
Prisma-Breck 01-07-2005, 02:17 PM This will be a permenant offerings. We are changing the focus from lower end servers to higher end quality servers. I look forward to doing business with you!
beniceman 01-09-2005, 12:11 AM i'm currenly running a Dual Opteron 244 with 4 gb ram too. Just wonder between Opteron 244 and Xeon 3.0 1mb cache, which one is better? So I can make a switch.
thanks
Prisma-Breck 01-09-2005, 01:46 PM That one I actually wouldn't know :) I heard the Opterons can spank the Xeons, but I went with Xeons because I knew they were stable. We used to offer Dual MP servers and had a constant problem with them over heating, etc. I did everything I could to keep the systems cool and they're still extremely hot. The Opteron following is actually pretty impressive. We'll see if it stays like that or if it's just a passing thing.
