View Full Version : Looking for 400Mb ish Reseller space
greenlighthost 01-03-2005, 09:44 PM Before I get told of for using "HOST QUOTE" . I did I did it three times since late November! I have received a few so so offers. I don't think my below prposal is outrageous. But if it is let me know.
I am looking for about 400Mb for re-seller space or space to host about 5 domains, with cPanel or DirectAdmin (preffered). 400Mb is really all I need , but if i get more I am comfortable with that, but I am looking for quality over quantity.
I am really looking for email servers that aren't abused. My current host's email servers are blacklisted by spamcop, and sending email is pretty frustrating.
I am looking to pay $5-$6 a month! Is this un-reasonable? If so please let me know how much I should look at paying a month for hosting.
I am currently looking at
http://www.resellerzoom.com/reseller-hosting.html
amxhost.com ( I haven't heard raving things about these guys)
http://www.plex6.com/plans.php
http://www.lesshost.com/cheap_hosting.php
Pls Advise!
Reeve 01-03-2005, 09:47 PM Reseller Zoom looks good to me.
WirralNet Matt 01-03-2005, 09:50 PM http://www.hostroute.com/resellers/index.html
$9 for 5 x 500MB/20GB websites with cPanel/WHM.
Hope that helps. I know its a bit more then what you want to pay, but you get a lot more then you wanted, and of course Hostroute are one of the very best companies in the hosting business.
greenlighthost 01-03-2005, 10:02 PM yes resellerzoom seem pretty good. That goes beyond the pretty website they have.
RossMAN 01-04-2005, 12:36 AM It may be worth contacting DotSimple.com (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=358906) to see if they can offer a custom plan?
I am using their old $5/mo resellers account with 1GB/20GB, so far it's been great :)
MashedPeas.com (http://mashedpeas.com/) is a domain I host with DotSimple.com
joshuayip 01-04-2005, 10:01 AM Give them a try. They are on the planet. Try not to send too much spam, you might get them blacklisted as well =)

Hey Joshua
Give who a try? dotsimple?
I don't send any spam? On the contrary Spam is evil! The host I'm with has had their servers blacklisted by a number of domains. When i contacted spamcop they told me a lot of the Nigerian hoax email were originating from there.
VER-Mo 01-04-2005, 11:19 AM Hi,
Another place you can try checking is the 'Shared and Reseller Offers' section in this forum. You may find some good deals there.
Also, if there is a webhost you are interested in using, but they dont seem to offer plans in your price range, go ahead and contact them. Many webhosts, especially the smaller ones, are flexible and would most likely be able to come up with a custom reseller plan that will fit your needs.
joshuayip 01-04-2005, 11:56 AM I was referring to resellerzoom. They are on theplanet. A little new, if you can take the risk , go for it. I just hop onto its brother, HostingZoom, more expensive, more hardware.
First month is a dollar... what can I say....perhaps u can contact resellerzoom, if they have similar offer , because you can try them out 0 risk (or 1 dollar risk) risk only
And Moni-Q is right, the Offer thread does provide many good offers. However, I would caution you not to be sucked in by just the offer. Check them out in WHT forums to see their reliability.
2 cents, hope it helps.
Joshua
sparker366 01-04-2005, 05:39 PM If you can swing the prices at resellerzoom I would reccomend them as the support is top notch speed is excellent features are great as well.
I may have only been with them less then a month but they have responded to all my support issues extreamly fast and were solved right a way.

I second DotSimple. Their support over IM respond promptly, and positively, meaning any problem I have had they have helped with. Also have the 1/20 account for $5 on DirectAdmin. No problems at all with that have I had.
Good luck!
