There is a new critical update via windows update that came out on the 11th Feb for IE 5, 5.5 & 6 that patches 6 vulnerabilities, so if you haven't patched yet, get cracking...

I see another update was released a few days (week ago), however I'm experiencing problems trying to load the products update page.

Anybody else having hassles?

Had the same problem, just keep refreshing the page until it actually displays..

Yea... I had the problem of accessing M$'s site. It took me about 10 refreshes to get in, and another many refreshes to even load the updates...

I finally got the updates though... Then I had to restart and get the others

Using IE in the first place, is a bad idea. There's been so, so many security holes, it's not like they are going to go away. Maybe if they trashed all the functions and wrote new code completely from good ideas with security in mind, but then we'd not be talking about MS, would we? This is why I use Netscape, but Netscape has sucked, big time, in the last couple of years (we all know why), but at least it's not having urgent security updates posted once every few weeks or months. Opera seems to be a good choice too. Heck, I'll use Lynx as my main browser before I use IE. Of course, I'm a programmer and sys admin, not a graphics designer (although I used to be -- the browser wars drove me nuts, so of course Unix was the end result), so I don't really care, as long as it's secure and the web site's are up and responding. :-)

You would think that MS of all companies could afford to have an infrastructure that was reliable and could hold up to the load that is being put on it. :D
