View Full Version : Vonage Theme Song
santosh47 01-02-2005, 04:22 PM | I am looking for the name of the song that goes like:
Uh uh uh uh uuuuuuuuu uh uh uh uh uuuuuuuu uh uh uh uh uuuuuuuu uh uh uh uh uuuuuuuu
By the way:
Vonage just slapped me with a $40 cancellation fee. I wonder if I can get that back if I sent them their equipment back.

I'm getting VOIP next week with my cable company -not Vonage.
I'm very curious, why did you quit? |

I believe that you do get the cancellation fee back if you return their equipment.
When I signed up, they were brand new and had sent me a Cisco ATA and when i cancelled I went ahead and kept the ata and sold it on Ebay for $200 dollars and paid the $40 dollar cancellation fee. |
zynet 01-02-2005, 06:13 PM VoIP technology is almost there pretty much comparable to cell phone technology. Not to mention if your power goes out you have no phone.
:)
It is almost there tho :D |

Yes, Time Warner is offering it. It's a modem/router/voip combo unit. You get internet, voip, and digital all for $99 per month. The bad thing is if you ever move out of Time Warner area, which is where Vonage has the advantage. They arent cable company specific. I can use my Vonage on "any" cable connection.
Vonage is about $28/month w/tax. Is was $39.99 +tax when I got it, but they have lowered prices twice since I got them back when they were brand new.
Now you know why the Vonage setup is still better than TW's setup :D

Wrong, if power goes out, all my calls goto my Nextel phone, which has free incoming minutes :D |
Techno 01-03-2005, 12:28 AM I'm getting TimeWarner as Vonage is not yet available in my area code. :(
TW is $39.99 month with unlimited calls throughout the USA and Canada. Much cheaper than the phone company. They tell me me that outgoing faxes "may" work but they don't guarantee it. I'll have to look look for an internet fax solution. Suggestions?
Any reason why some here have dropped VOIP?
If you visit http://www.vonage.com/avail.php you can see that many areas (Georgia, LA, NYC, Arizona, New Mexico...) have Vonage but are currently "Out of Stock". |

Not too shabby of a deal. |

5678's - WooHoo .... you can probably find it on the first kill bill soundtrack =] |
UReach (http://www.ureach.com/) is great for online faxing. However, you could just put in "online fax" into Google and all sorts of offers will come up on the right ala AdWords. Packet8 (http://www.packet8.net/) is also another good alternative to Vonage although I haven't tried their services out yet, but they do seem to be a bit cheaper. |

Not sure of the name of it, but I've had that damn song stuck in my head for two days... it's the first thing that popped in there when I woke up this morning. |
VanHost 01-03-2005, 10:49 PM I haven't heard what their theme song is, but based on what you typed could it be Dyer Maker by Led Zepplin? |
VanHost 01-03-2005, 10:51 PM Nevermind, I just went and found it on that adtunes website. That song is catchy, but when the "singing" starts, it's damn annoying =) |
eservicesu 01-03-2005, 11:00 PM I currently use Vonage and im semi happy with it.
Mainly because of the fact that the modem i have wont even work in front of the router (i have a rogers account going into my router). Now i have to put their modem behind the router, which is not as good because its shared with the rest of the machines i have here. Its not a big problem though, i might call them about it.
As for the theme song, i dont even use that feature sorry.
