Hi, I was wondering what you thought of a reseller for 30.00 USD a month? Would that be considered expensive? 30 gigs of Space 200 gigs BW. For that matter would any reseller that much be conisdered expensive?

That would be what I would call "ridiculous, and unsustainable cheap pricing".

If a package like that is going for anything less than $100 per month then both the buyer and the seller are asking for trouble.

While to give a set minimum price for that kind of package could prove impossible, the price mentioned strikes me as being... how should I put it... so cheap that it breaks all safety levels.

Regardless of the Features provided, if $30.00 month is your lowest Reseller package then that would be considered expensive. Your lowest price should be in the $10 - $20 range for a Reseller package.

Well I was just wondering because I was talking to somone and they laughed at me for having something so "expensive". Also they said its illigal to give IP's to customers for name servers, there own IP's according to ARIN or what ever, Anyone hear of this?

Providing Dedicated IPs for Nameservers is done all the time. In fact, most Resellers will want their own IPs / Nameservers as that way, their Clients use the Reseller's Nameservers.

You should expect to pay at least $1.00 per gig on the small plans and never less than 50 cents.. if it's lower something isn't right (unreasonable overselling).

its important to consider data security and how often backups are performed. Usually with raid 5 and weekly / daily backups , the data can be more secure / redundant.

Even if he is not overselling he won't be making any profit too & the server would be most probably from Managed.com
