A reseller account allows you divide up your account into smaller parcels, a shared account doesn't.

I see, well I was having secruity issues with my account and someone suggested getting a reseller account. I don't see how that would help me.

Thanks for the reply

The security issues have to do with your host... most likely..... so consider switching hosts... maybe...

good luck.

Hello! As Rebluenet has said the security issues do have to do with your host. With a resellers account you get WHM which stands for Web Hosting Manager. It allows you to split you resellers account into smaller pieces for your customers. A main use for this is for starting web hosts. The reseller account usually costs more. The shared on the other hand is like a resellers account although you are not able to break it down into smaller accounts. It's an account for your use only. And you have Cpanel, not WHM. In some cases you might be able to add domains to a shared account if your host allows you to do so. I hope this has helped.

Best regards!

What kind of security issues were you having? Whether you have a shared or reseller account doesn't necessarily resolve this kind of issue. If your host allows SSH access, and your reseller account is on that server, that's also a pretty large security issue.
