Hi, as many of you know especially those who have been in the reseller forum lately that i am yet another person not getting on with Donhost.
I have had an offer of a reseller account on a dedicated server that a friend is getting because he is also sick of donhost.
My problem is that i have only had my account with DH for a month and stupidly i found them before i found you guys and paid yearly so if i move now i will lose that £430.
I could probably afford the new account being offered to me which is on a server running plesk. I have spoken to DH today and they are being ok at the moment but from reading the posts on here i dont think it will be like that for long and they will start messing me about again

what do you suggest i do?

Hi,
The first thing you should do is contact donhost, and see if you move, will they refund the unused portion of your hosting fee. Any respectable host should have no problem refunding you the unused months.

We have had people move off because they want ASP or an option we don't have, and always give a refund if they paid in advance. They may charge you a small fee, but that is better than loosing the full amount.

Once you get an answer from them on that issue, then you will know what your real options are. Most resellers starting out can't afford to eat 400+ bucks and just forget about it.

Just be polite and ask if they will refund you the difference... see what they say.

Good luck,

Donhost say they dont give refunds unless there is a major problem and they say my problems basically arent big enough

Hmm,
Has it ben more than 30 days ? They do have a 30 day guarentee..

Otherwise, your stuck at their mercy for your refund.

Hope you can resolve this with them,

As I said, dispute the charges with your CC company so you will be able to reclaim the oustanding amount of money.
