View Full Version : Assistance configuring servers and hosting services

I've been operating geocities-style (freebie) image and low-end web hosting services for several years. We're now looking at adding full hosting packages (Linux and IIS), as well as dedicated servers. By full-featured I mean POP mail, PHP, CGI, FTP, shell accounts, etc. etc. We're profitable, and we want to expand our offerings.

We've got a cabinet at an Equinix facility, (with only 7u in use) and a fast E connection. Plenty of room to grow. I've spent enough at Dell to get large business pricing, so hardware isn't an issue.

I need somebody to help out, either as a partner, employee, contractor, advisor, whatever capacity, to configure servers and devise a system by which we can offer full-featured hosting packages, and eventually offer dedicated servers.

We need to manage (control/limit) bandwidth, storage space, etc.

I don't care so much about which "control panel" software we use. We're a small company, with only a small staff, so I don't want to spend hours each day configuring servers and accounts.

Contact scott@ripside.com if you're interested! I'll keep an eye on this thread too.
