This is sort of an extended question and I would appreciate all the help I can get with the matter.
I have been asked to host around 10 online photo albums for camps across the US. I have not completely decided on the best script to go with but I thought coppermine might do the trick. Since these sites will be heavily hit during the summer and months before and after, I felt that I would need to span the database, web, and imaging servers across multiple machines.
Using coppermine, would I be able to use the same files (different database) for each camp? Or would it be better if each camp's directory had it's own set of coppermine files.
I am not sure if I should use coppermine OR gallery as the script (or any others) but I need one that can take a load of 500-600 users per day, per camp and can do the job the right way. (each camp needs it's own individual template)
Lastly, is there some sort of queue I have to setup to prevent the servers from crashing from the load?
I am a n00b to this matter and would GREATLY appreciate any comments and suggestions.
