I can't login! Can't get to the "send me my password" thing either.

Anyone else having problems?

Same here. At least the order form seems to be working.

EDIT:
Just got mail from them:
Due to an internal mistake your 2Checkout.com password was reset to XXXXXXXXXX

Wish they'd email me! haha sounds like they're having a bad day.

yeah - we got the password change notification email just a couple of minutes ago, seems a little odd...I've been a little annoyed with 2checkout lately since some downtime messed up some signups :(

Got the same reset email. Good thing my last few customers were cash in hand

Yeah I now know we lost many customers.
They changed the way they load your page headers, and none of our pictures will load. At all. That totally scares our clients.

Now I guess, not to be paranoid, but:
-either they accidentally deleted their passwords db (!)
-or it was compromised (!!)

Gasp.

email I just got..

Hello,

Due to an internal mistake your 2Checkout.com password was reset to *********
Your username remains *****

The reset was in no way due to an security issues.

You can login and change your password ( with the url below ) as needed.
https://sellers.2checkout.com/cgi-bin/sellersarea/change_pass.2c

Thank You,

After NUMEROUS complaints about slow order pages loading, we followed the ADVICE of some of our Clients and added a server to specifically hold the custom headers and footers of our clients. Though this was an added expense to us, we absorbed the cost.

There is a specific area in your Admin tools to handle this now, under "Custom".

I fail to see how not having custom headers would scare away your customers.

As for the password file...

There was no security breach, there was a simple mistake made by a programmer. We all make them from time to time. The mistake corrupted/overwrote a portion of the file, so we reset the passwords.

Tom, maybe you should see what our ordering page looks like without any image :(
If you read my previous messages here, I believe you'll see that this is the first time I complain about something. I guess it's a good clue that I'm not the kind who usually keeps whining about other companies service.

When I update my headers ('custom' menu, of course), I can view my headers independently, but not in the payment page. We can discuss this further by e- mail, if you wish so. I think it would be fair not to discuss internal technical problems in public.

Regards,
-Chris.

You made the specific post Chris, I responded to it.

I know what a raw ordering page looks like.

We have specifically "gone the extra mile" to provide users the ability to have custom Headers and Footers at NO CHARGE. A glance down our list of "featured sites" shows that the programming does function.

I post my email address on every post. If you have a support concern, contact us.

Hopefully this will save some of you the time I spent trying to get the system to 'accept' my custom headers:

If you click on the help link next to the text box for the header and footer it will give you the details of what should be in them.

They are serious!!

What they tell you is that the header should begin with the body tag and not have any closing tags ie: close body, close html (of course you can close any tables ect..)

the footer does not need to contain the close body tag.

I would advise you to use a close body tag. It's not added by them automatically, and if you don't add one some older netscape browsers won't show your page. Had some trouble with that in the past. Especially netscape 4.7x can be a pain to work with.

Honestly...
3 times in the last 2 months.
2 of those times this week.

Today's problem only affected a small portion of the passwords, but (thankfully) showed us a glitch in the "save" coding.
