I've gotten three calls over the past couple months from Aplus.net salespeople asking if I need website hosting for my business URL...even though in my WHOIS records, it has my company name on there, that ends in "Webhosting Solutions, LLC."

I usually laugh at them, explain that I'm a webhost, and they apologize.

The word 'scum' let's them off a little lightly. They are far worse than that.

I've just been readin gthe following:

Someone, somewhere, ought to deal with this firm.

Not illegal, unethical very much so. Companies like aplus.net are bottom feeders

They mine the zone files for new registrations and then cold call. My numbers are on the do not call list too. Turds!

That is what they are doing. I get a call at least once a week and most of the time they hangup on me since I give them a hard time.

If they are a registrar(which they are) they have access to those records. I do not think this violates any agreement. As I said before, this is more of an ethical issue than anything else.
