Hey all. Been lurking a while and figured it was time for my first post. :)

I'm working with a company that will be providing web hosting and we would like to offer our clients the ability to register domain names through our site. We're actually going to throw the domain name in for free as part of the hosting package. Ideally we would like to have the customer never leave our site. In other words, they could search for a domain name on our site and pick one out without having to leave to go anywhere else.

My understanding is that the APIs offered by some of the domain name re-sellers will allow this capability. However, I wanted to verify that with the community here.

Also, we're looking at going with eNom, primarily due to a lot of the positive feedback that we have seen here at WHT. I was wondering if anyone could offer comments on whether they would be a good company to go with based on the criteria I listed above. Or would there be other good alternatives that we should be looking as well? Although we're somewhat price-sensitive (due to the fact that we are throwing the domain name in as part of our hosting package), our main goal is to go with a company that will allow us to have our customers seamlessly search for and register their domain name through our site.

Thoughts?

enom has been around for a while and has the largest group of resellers. Directi seems to be growing and might be a good candidate down the road.

Yeah I use Directi and they are very good, they do have a few problems but in the future that might at the very top.
