Please suggest software to help me automate bulding picture galleries. Right now I do it manually for my clients - editing the pictures to thumbnail and larger view sizes, then creating an html document for each image. I know there has got to be an easier (read: automated) way.

well, since you have been doing it manually.......

go to download.com, look for "image gallery" in the downloads section, and you can select from several free programs. find one you like, then recommend it to your customers, and let them do it all.

Coppermine (coppermine.sourceforge.net) has worked well for me. Gallery (http://gallery.menalto.com/) is also free, has quite a following.
