Web Hosting Special Offers is very nice forum but I think you have to spit it between:
- web hosting/resellers and
- didicated/colo
Right now there's a mess and it's not easy to find what you need.
Like, I am interested in ded/colo but there's a tons of confusing topics and I'm just wasting time to open all threads and find out that they offer some hosting plans.
Is it a good idea?
Another suggestion, I think that sorting of threads is not good.
Like, you start some thread before three months, somobody replies today and it comes on top place, throwing newer threads down. If you start some thread it can easy go on second page if nobody replies in 12 hours or even less. I think threads should be sorted by starting date.
Any comments?

You could try posting your requirement in the Web Hosting Requests section if you're after something in particular.

Thread order is determined by current discussions. If you had a question on a thread that was a week old, you think anyone would see it on page 5 and reply to you?

I TOTALLY AGREE, yes it is a very good idea. Split them up! :)

might be worth a look at I think - there's enough traffic in that forum to warrant a look - maybe split the forum inside rather than having it split from the main page.

especially now you see more offers, etc on dedicated specials than ever before...
Split it into SUB forums like sitepoint does now :D

I think the volume of offers is still managable. Adding a forum will make the home page more confusing to a simple-minded person like me...

Just to put in my $.02, but I think that this would be a great idea, especially now with the assortment of offers in the offers forum. It would really help out with the organization of the forum, as people can click on what they are interested in directly, shared or dedicated/colo offers.

Excellent idea, bitel :)
But after wading through the multitude of offers, I'll go one better... divide them up into:
-web hosting
-resellers
-dedicated/colo
There's a lot to soak in here on WHT and anything that will save time for all of us is something to consider.
