Hey!

Is there any restrictions on under 21's or anything? Let me know if anyone knows. I looked on the site and couldnt find the information.

Regards:clap:  :bawling:

You must be 16 years old to attend. This will be listed on the registration page when we open registrations.

This is quite nice, for those under 18 who wish to attend. This industry is great because you can be under 18 and still take part in it and even be quite successful.

Good to know that those under 21 will be admitted, I turn 18 in March.

Why is there even an age restriction at all?
Is this just something to bar out the kiddie hosts? :D

No, it was not our intention to even define "kiddie hosts". :) However, we had to set a minimum age somewhere, and 16 seemed to us to be an appropriate minimum.

That being said, we're open to discussion for those that may be under 16 who may wish to attend. We're committed to making this a professional conference and exhibit, so we'll determine on a case-by-case basis whether it is appropriate for someone under 16 to attend.

It is not our intention to bar legitimate hosting professionals from the conference, but as I said, we needed to set a minimum age. If you are under 16 and want to attend HostingCon 2005, please send an email to registrations@hostingcon.com and explain that you are under 16 but would like to be able to attend and we'll review your situation.

As I said, we felt we had to set a minimum age so we did not have children running around the conference. 16 seemed an appropriate age to us, but as I said, we're open to discussion on a case-by-case basis for those under 16. Send us an email to registrations@hostingcon.com to discuss if that applies to you.

I think an age limit is very appropriate and is warranted without explination. Check other conferences age requirements.
