Hi,
Well due to my current situation with cobaltracks.com I am in desperate need of finding another cobalt server.

I require a raq4i, with mysql, php, asp, 128MB ram, etc. The usualy standard configuration.

Heres the catch, I've already blown $300.00 to cobaltracks that if I do manage to get returned to me, it will be a while Im sure, so I need something that is priced real close to their $199.00 per month with no setup fees.

If you provide dedicated raq4i's and can accomodate a server at $199.00 a month, (hopefully with at least 50GB of transfer per month), please contact me off list using the mail icon for me here on the board.

It's unfortunate that Im such a position but it has come to be.

The reason why I am looking for a raq instead of a linux box is simply I have about 35 sites on the server and what I intend to do is to use the system admin command of backup to backup all sites on the server, then restore all the info on the new server so that it is less headache to try and reconfigure everything over again, losing hundreds of hours to do so.

Thanks for the help gang, your a good bunch of peoples.

Make that two people looking for a server! I am with you and ready to move from Cobalt Rack. So if you find a good outlet let me know, ready to move on Monday. I need the same specs as you do. I want to stay with a unix type server. I was suppose to have a Raq4, maybe now I know why mine is so slow!

Well that's the problem with using one of the cheapest places. There really aren't many to choose from in that range. I almost mistakenly told you to check out that special Steve is running, until I realized that you were trying to get off your RaQ3 already.

Wasn't there another company, errr... hispeed or something like that, that people liked as well? Sorry, I'm really reaching back into the noodle. If I can think of it, I'll let you know. What is that price range by the way?

Price range: $199.00 to $250.00

The thing is that I probably could do just find with a raq3i, the only reason that I need to get away from the current company is that I feel that I have been mislead into believeing that when you order a raq4i, you will get a raq4i.

The thing with raq3's are that they dont have php4, nor mysql, though as I have now seen you can install mysql on a raq3, but php4 im not sure about, nor how they will run with the raq3 software. The other thing is that if Im thinking about Steves plan is the same that you are referring to, it says something like up to 100GB transfer per month, then down further it says, up to 300,000 page views per month, I am confused and dont know whether they are putting that page view bit as a comparison to say, you can have people visit as many or more than 300,000 page views per month or if they somehow limit your server to 300,000 page views per month.

My biggest thing though is that I have mysql, and php4, asp I couldnt give a rats petutie about, if someone wants a host with asp, might I suggest a nt host.

Anyway, dig deep in that vast noodle of yours and see if you can think of anyone, it's much much much very much appreciated, I feel my time is short and an immediate need to move is eminant as well as a serious backup, in fact what the heck am i doing here still typing, I should be on my server downloading a backup of all users files.

You can install both MySQL and PHP4: See this thread: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=3497

And as for the 300,000 page views a month - Steve said it should be 300,000 page views a day. See this thread for confirmation: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=3263

Hope that helps :)
