MaxiHost is a WebHosting in Brazil, that I am the current owner, and actually we have 1200 sites hosted with us. We bought modernbill Junuary 2003 but made several changes to match our needs. I can list some of them below:
1. Modernbill is integrated with cPanel, when customer goes to his control panel and type his e-mail address / password he can choose to login to Modernbill control panel or cPanel. The most important thing is that he does not have to login again to the cPanel with login/pass, the system will use the password stored in modernbill database to do that. If he changes his password in cPanel, we store the new password automaticaly to modernbill database.
2. When the customer has invoices due, it will show after logged in with e-mail/password to modernbill, with one click of the mouse button he can pay the due invoice. If the invoice is late, he cannot login to either control panels. If the account is Pendent it will show the invoice too. We can create different rules to match your needs in these cases.
3. We have created a rule that when the customer late your payment, he will be charged. This is automaticaly calculated when the customer generate the invoice to pay. System calculates the due date and the payment date and charge the difference.
4. We have created the link for the due invoice (payment link) at modernbill and phplivesupport to make the support faster. We made this implementation because lots of customers came to us asking the link for payment.
5. Another implementation is at out phplivesupport. We made a rule that only our customers can log in to chat with Support channel. Customer must login with e-mail and password (modernbill database). If they have late invoices he can only chat with Sales and Customer Care, otherwise he will have access to Support too. You can create another rules here, it doesnt matter. If a visitor come to chat he will only have access to Sales.
6. We use a billing method (I dont know if this is available for your bank) that the customer pays one invoice for us and the day after we get a file from the bank with all the records on it and put to a script that parse those records and apply to the customers invoices. You can apply payment for 1000s of invoices in less than one second. We can implement this for any billing method you use.
7. We made a script to find accounts at cPanel that does not exist in your modernbill filtering them by IP / Username / Site. If a site exist at your cPanel but does not at your modernbill the script will find out for you. This is really interessant to find out customers active that are not paying and accounts that modernbill failed to remove and you didnt see.
We also made some other changes to the modernbill structure and modified some other scripts. If you have any interested of any above please let me know and we can deal.
