Hi all,

I have a question here as far as the feature in windows media that allows you to PUSH the encoded media to the server.

I am not at the server right now, I cant get to it until Monday. However, I still have the question to ask.


I have tried before using encoder to push to the server, and it will initiate, and ask for a password of which I do not know what is, therefore cannot provide. I set the server up so I tried all of the passwords I used and I still could not get a connection...

I know that it has to deal with permissions, but I do not know how to set them. Could someone give me any ideas.

This sould be a windows admin account such as administrator.

for instance if I wanted to create user accounts to allow clients to push on demand to their publishing point what level of access would a user account need in order to be able to push to their publishing point?
