Hi

Just wanted to know how companies are handling the mailing of christmas/new year card to their clients if they are doing so. Is there any service out there that can handle it for you?

I've been trying to figure out a way to get our staff on this but getting them to create/mail thousands of cards is going to be quite a task :)

It's a bit late if you are looking to send Christmas cards ;)

You would be a lot better just sending e-cards at this stage, at least then you will know they will get there in time :D

Was thinking of something that may reach them by New Years :)

Get an intern/family + excel create the labels and buy the cards.
The actual card in the mail will make a much better impact.

Send an E-Card and donate the money you would have spent to charity. :)

I dont like e-cards personally. I just prefer an email saying well done. I find it very anoying as it goes into my spam folder etc etc

Usually, the idea is to do it yourself because it's suppose to be personal (even if there are hundreds/thousands like you mention). I guess it's even harder if you folks are based out of Delhi, no?

personal e-mail is the most effective greeting.

I think the physical card would make a MUCH bigger impact on your clients, really make you stand out.

Greetings:

We sent out personally signed (all key staff signed all) cards via regular mail to all of our customers; we sent gifts to our largest accounts.

Thank you.

We sent them at the very first of December. Oddly enough people in Texas got them just as quick as some local clients.

We did them all without using a outsourced service. Sure it takes a LOT of time but it means a bit more then just photocoping them or outsourcing the work.

Doing it certainly was not an easy task and it surely did take a LONG time. At the same time once we finished the last one we were all very happy.

Okay, so I'm about a year late with this thread... but I just joined today and the subject line caught my eye. I'm an Independent Greeting Card Distributor and I have the answer to this dilemma.

We have an online greeting card sender and contact manager. You go online and personalize a greeting card then click send... we do the rest! Your card is printed, stuff, addressed, stamped, and mailed to your recipient without you leaving your computer. These are real greeting cards sent via USPS.

I believe that a greeting card received in the mail has a greater impact on a person than an e-card. It shows that you went out of your way to thank them, or wish them happy birthday, or tell them that you care.

With our system, you can create one card and have it sent to 10,000 people, if you want, and each card will be personalized with that person's name on the inside (Dear Jimmy,). And you only spent a few minutes doing it!!

Well, I'm having a great time with it and I think you would too!

Happy new year!

Debbie
