Is this a decent service to start out with? I like their low startup cost and ability to integrate into my website. I like OpenSRS and Enom better, but can't afford the expensive deposits. I need an option that integrates invisibly into my website, AND does not offer web hosting at their site! (ie: Dotster)

I started out w/ Bulkregister, and have switched to namebargain.com. Their prices are $8.88 per year as opposed to $12. However, you do have to have a minimum of 5 domains to start out them. After that, their service is EXCELLENT and very user friendly.

I have a customer who was with bulkregister but he was not satisfied with their online-pages because he is a reseller. He switched to eNom where he now can use own scripts with his own layout. Their gateway is very powerful and well documented. Also the prices are fair for resellers but they demand a high deposit (around $500) before you can start selling domains.
The advantage is, that you can easily implement your own scripts with your own corporate identity to register new domains and admin existing domains. You can even provide admin pages for your users, if they have registered the domain with eNom.
They also provide a sample script for PHP (and I think also other script languages), that is not perfect but usable. So it's easy to start using their gateway.

i find enom the best registrar so far. their documentation makes it very easy for integrating with their registration system. as a reseller you can also create sub-reseller accounts and set your own prices. they even provide you with credit card processing services. i'm not sure about the high deposit part but when i signed up two years ago, they didn't require any large amount of deposit. but i know of another enom reseller - namesleader.com which sells domains to their resellers at $9.00 per domain without requiring high deposits.
another registrar to look out for is SRSplus (a division of dotTV Corporation). these guys allow their resellers to delete a registered domain within 3 days (if not 5 - can't really remember). prices start at $8.00 but with volume they would even go down to registry pricing of $6.00 (volume = number of .tv domains registered). they would require you to code your own system though but they do provide rather good documentation.

Verisign recently purchased dotTV. I wonder if they bought these guys too.
Your .tv prices seem a bit off though. My wholesale cost for these domains is $34. I can't believe that OpenSRS is marking them up $30 a domain year...

We use Bulkregister. We were using Registrars but after they were bought out by Verisgn they had to go.
Basically the price is ok. Their web interface is functional but hokey looking. We use their API so our users never have to see them at all, and the API if fine, but their tech support is extremely slow to respond.
Just my $0.02

I never knew BR had an API. There's nothing about it on their website.
Another good registrar is DotRegistrar if you had the volume. They too allow domain deletions. One of the very few I know who do. Does anybody know of any others?
