Hello
We are currently finishing up the last touches on our website after working on it for several months. I can't wait to get started.

I'm though a bit confused about the best way to start off a nice cheap marketing campaign. Some says PPC's are a good way, others say Ezine advertising.

Maybe somebody who had success with a specific method would spill their thoughts and ideas on me.

Any help is welcome. :D

Thanks in advance,

I like overture. You bid on your search term and can get into almost all of the top search engines if you have enough cash. Simple to use but takes about 3 days from start to finish to begin posting.

Overture can get really expensive for competitive key words.

My input would be - general search engine optimization, e-zines and working on getting links to your site on other related sites

There is no quick solution for traffic unless you want to spend lots of money, but with relatively low spending & 6 months you can be successful at it

Start with small campaigns on some advertising networks, web hosting directories, PPC search engines and maybe a CPC based newsletter campaign.

Ad Networks

DoubleClick.net
FastClick.com
ValueClick.com

Hosting Directories

FindSP.com
TopHosts.com
WebHostDir.com

Better-than-icky-nasty-Overture PPC engines

Sprinks.com
FindWhat.com

I would also give Google a shot :)

Thanks a lot for the input, should come in handy :)

Has anyone tried Newsgroup posting with luck?

That would be against most newsgroups rules.

That depends on how you do it I believe. Of course you can't just email the particular newsgroup with a blatant ad, even though it would be the easiest :)

Post something, reply to something etc, then use a nice catchy sig line, I think that could work. But then again I havn't tried it out yet.
