Hello,

I have bind 8 running on a redhat 7.1.
Now I was installing a name server. the domain points to the server ( which should be my name server )

I followed the instructions I found at rackshack
created an entry for a domain but when I try
to change the dns entry I am told the my name server is not authorative .

To explain, my domains are in 2 nameservers of a
friend. Now I ´d like to have for my domains ns1.myownnameserver.tld and ns2.friendsnameserver.tld.
But, the registry cannot find my nameserver.
Nslookup for foreign domains work, so my nameserver seems to run.
Does anybody have detailed instructions how to set up a domain using webmin?
what, for example, is the master server of
my nameserver´s domain? The ip of the machine?
