I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they have had any positive or negative experiences with icobo.com. I have researched other merchant accounts and this one looks like it is the best because they don't charge a setup fee, monthly fees and when you sign up you set up your own icobo merchant account. When your customers use their creditcard online, the money is deposited into your icobo account. Can you tell me if there are any negative experiences? What merchant account would be the best for customers who are subscribing with their creditcard online?

As a general rule I would never use pricing to determine who is the best. I have no experience with "icobo" so I can't comment there.

hebec must be talking about ikobo.
ExtremeIS is right, cheap or expensive pricing does not mean
it is bad or good.

the best old rule
If you don't know what is good - ask what is expensive.

I know would never sign up for something just because it is inexpensive or free. I just want to know what people think of icobo. I was on the forum last night and I heard a lot of negative things about it but positive experiences about stormpay. I went onto the stormpay website and there are no faqs or contact information to find out more about them. Can someone tell me why? I'm trying to deccide which one to go with. Icobo or stormpay. This is a very difficult decision.

habec,
I think this is what you are looking for about stormpay:
http://www.stormpay.com/stormpay/user/user_help.php
You can find more links on the bottom of Stormpay website.
To me, Stormpay so far so good, no complaints at all.

I've never used StormPay but I've used Ikobo on a limited basis.
Ikobo, when it is working - works fine. But occasionally we have run into a limit increase issue and Ikobo has not been fast to respond on a lot of issues.
For an occasional payment or monthly set of payments, I think Ikobo can be ok. I do not think that I would want to use it as a primary means of accepting payment, however.

I agree!
But for some people have to use it as primary source of
accepting payment just because no other alternatives, like me.
Paypal is pretty good and has a lot of users (world-wide accepted).

I'm afraid I have to dissagree with Cavalry , during the last few weeks there have been many complaints at Stormpay since they introduced NetIba as their certification agency, up to 2 days ago you could read those complaints on thier forum, now all gone, deleted by the Mods.
I have never had any problems with them, but was very disturbing reading, now it seems that no critisism is allowed or your account is at risk.
I re-edit this post, I did not apprehend the date this thread was posted, but this news is up to date.
