I am wanting to use Urchin web stats and able to log in via port 9999. And was told that I have to disable firewall. :eek: Is that a good thing to do?

You do not want to disable the firewall.

You want to enable TCP port 9999 to be open in your firewall (rather than closed).

The steps you take to do this depend on whose firewall you are using; you may want to read the manual.
