Ok people, here's one for you,

Free webhosting, but there are strings attached. Currently i don't offer commercial hosting off this box, because i don't own the dns's i use (i don't use free ones), but it doesen't take a rocket scientist to see why i wouldn't do it commercial without my own NS's. This box is hosted on my home connection, has about 99% uptime, and 400kbit or so of bandwidth.

this is what you get (what box has):
- php4.11 (latest)
- Online e-mail control panel
- webmail
- mysql
- webalizer stats
- next to no support if it's not something wrong with the box.

250 megs diskspace
5 gigs transfer (max)
50 pop3, responders, forwaders, etc.

These are free accounts, you must have a domain, if you want to point the dns yourself, thats fine, otherwise it takes a few days to transfer on the dns servers i use. I will be offering 5-10 of these accounts, i want to get a little bit of load on the box, and any abusive accounts will be reported back to the ppl in WHT, so please dont abuse.

Well i think i made a few WHT members happy last nite/this morning. I got totally swarmed last nite, but i don't think i missed anyone. This should bump my server load a little... though it doesen't show much yet, hopefully sharpnet sets up the dns soon for all those ppl who signed up.

This offer is officially closed, i may host another in the future, i may not. I thank everyone who came for a free account and got one, and i hope they enjoy :), this is my contribution back to WHT for all the poor people i flamed to death :flamethr:.

I got bored and unfortunatly all the sites i added seem to be very dormant (so it doesen't exactly give my setup much of a workout), so i'm re-opening this offer to the next 3-5 users, to clear up confusions here what you need to do:

ICQ/IRC/Email me with this information:

domain name
what your domain does/whats on your website (just in case i find anything offensive, hasn't happened yet)
desired password
if you need mysql or not.

I will accept the next 3-5 domains, and if you don't need dns hosting, all the better, but if you do, i switched to new nameservers as a result of the problems i had with snet's ones.

Only one person took me up on the offer this second time, so i'm closing the offer, maybe i'll do it again sometime. All accounts that have been added that have not pointed their DNS to my nameservers by 02/22/2002 will be removed (i'm not going to allocate my system resources for sites that aren't going to be up). Whomever got in, I hope you enjoy ^_^
