HI
I AM COLOMBIAN AND I AM CURRENTLY DEVELOPING AN ECOMMERCE SITE. I HAVE ALREADY A CHECKING ACCOUNT IN THE US, BUT MY QUESTION IS:
HOW CAN I START ACCEPTING CREDIT CARDS THROUGH MY SITE (OR RETAIL CREDIT CARD PROCESSING TRHOUGH THE WEB) , USING A SHOPPING CART (INSIDE MY SITE) AND ALL THE PAYMENTS GO DIRECTLY TO MY CHECKING ACCOUNT? IS THERE ANY COMPANY WHICH FACILITATES THIS?
PLEASE MENTION OTHER THAN IKOBO.
THANKS

Why not ask your bank if they can help ?
I think it will be dificult to find a cc processor that can accept you, except a 3.party processor.
Happy X-MAS ;)

Welcome to the forums armagri!
Do you also have a United States address? What about a social security number?
There are some United States processors that will support merchants not based in the United States as long as they have at least a United States bank account and address

THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY.
OK, I AM NOT IN THE US, BUT I HAVE AN ADDRESS (A CARGO AND COURRIER AGENCY IN MIAMI) THEY ARE CURRENTLY MANAGING ALL MY MAIL AND MERCHANDISE AND FORWARD IT TO MY COUNTRY.
I DO NOT HAVE SSN (I CAN OBTAIN A TAX ID BY OPENEING A COMPANY IN DELAWARE, BUT I AM FIRST RESEARCHING IF I CAN AVOID SUCH EXPENSE FINDING A METHOD TO ACCEPT CC AND SEND THE FUNDS TO MY CHECKING ACCOUNT.....
(I THINK IF I CAN GET A TAX ID I COULD OPEN A MERCHANT BANK ACCOUNT EVEN BY INTERNET ISN'T IT?).

You really should get a federal tax ID number. No it is not needed for some processors but they do like it.
And not too sure what you mean by expense - they are free. Not needed though since you are offshore.

Use a 3rd party processor.
And don't type all in capitals.

Ok.
which are those 3rd party processors?
It costs me $900 aprox to open a LLC company without traveling, just sending the papers and paying I can get the certificates and the TAX ID, but that is what I want to avoid, this expense while I am beginning the company in Colombia.

paypal.com
2checkout.com
worldpay.com
There are hundreds of them around. Google for 'payment processor'.

Try epagos.com. I've never used them, but they specialise in Latin America.
Good luck.
