View Full Version : How long to set up a reseller account? Should I be worried?

It's been 2 days since I signed up for a reseller account.

My account still isn't ready.

Is this normal? Or am I expecting too much?

Well, it certianly isn't fast, though I'm not sure what your host is doing exactly. Account setup could take longer due to server setups (maybe they are setting up more servers for resellers?), credit card auth (might not be realtime, especially if you signed up through a 3rd party processor). I dunno, I'd send an email to support just to be sure they respond to support requests (at least) in a timely fashion.

No, you are not expecting too much.....2 days should be long enough.....Although, I once signed up for a reseller account and it took about that long.........
sometimes, they can just miss you....so contact them and it will probably get set up right away......

They should have informed you of the delay and expected time. As the above poster said, follow up. They may have misplaced your sign-up or overlooked it.

Also, as the Chicken said, they may have had to configure an additional server. In fact, we turned away an account today that needed a large reseller account immediately with CPanel and we need to configure and test additional CPanel servers. But, we did let them know prior to them placing an order. So, we lost an account for today, but reputation intact, and, who knows, maybe they will become an account another time.

I would say that that is a little long, but it all depends on what kind of setup time they advertised. If they didn't say it would be any quicker, I wouldn't worry yet...

They've sent me all of the info now.

I guess with the weekend, and being a new account, that it's not a bad thing.

Thanks for the input.
