View Full Version : Voxtreme or DataHosts?

I am choosing between these two resellers. I don't know which one to choose though...

I like Voxtreme because they have been quick and helpful whenever I have talked to them, and seem to be active around here. However, there are many negative comments about them here, and then there's that downtime thing. I don't care if it is a VDI problem, it still would affect me.

I like DataHosts because they seem to have a better value, and many positive posts about them here. However, I've never used their support, and they are, last time I checked, running PHP in safe mode. That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard, and that point alone is almost enough to make me not go with DataHosts.

But who cares what I think? I want to know your opinions.

Nearly the same thread as http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=35326

Such a common question lately.

But that's no help...

Okay, as a user of Voxtreme, I can say they are quite good.

The downtime thing was a combination of a centre move, which is a good thing, and the VDI issue, nobody at Voxtreme could be blamed for that, many hosts were down.

From what I have been reading/researching they are both on the top of my list.

Do you know what you want to do with your account?

Personal or business?

Business, so I desire to resell space to customers and charge them for it.

I say go Voxtreme. Downtime can be a problem but really not their fault.

Looks like pricing just changed on Voxtreme (up about $5). I was looking at Acunett as well but they don't do any server backups and couldn't verify when they would. Said they were looking at it. :eek2:

Also noticed that Acunett changed their pricing and significantly reduced their transfer amount per package offered. Used to be 1G storage/50G xfer (on paper anyway) for the base plan now 1G/25G for $25/Mo. Probably more realistic but a big change.

Voxtreme also changed added (looks like an add to me anyway) CP4 over CP3 and now have Web Host Manager. By the looks of it Voxtreme is looking real good in that they have a great and informative help forum, seem to be responsive and showing a desire to improve their service with upgrades and improvements as well. The offering is still attractive especially considering the apparent support.

Currently Voxtreme is on the top of my list :spiny: . I have time before I need to sign up so tend to analyse to death. I really don't want to jump around though.

I've used DataHosts and they're pretty good, mainly because they offer free ips.

Look at intenseinfo.com, nice support and staff and good pricing.
They even have support via ICQ from Joe. He's usally on 2 or 3 times a day.

Finally, integrahosting.net's Ultimate Freedom Reseller plan. It's interesting.
I've never used this company before, but it seems like they're worth looking at.
