Almost everything is important. First be prepared to burst your rear end for peanuts. In my opinion these are the most inportant thing starting with most important.

1) Passion for internet and hosting
2) Low cost reliable, fast servers
3) Good Technical Support for you Clients (at most 12 hour turnaround on email, 3-6 will be great)
4) Low charges
5) Good customer service
