My site does not offer MySql and there is a banner exchange script that I despretly need. It is called 'Php exchange' ( http://phpexchange.irisco.it/ ). Would someone be kind enough to host this script for me? A banner on the sign up pages or a note giving you credit will be listed on the sign up form on my site. I know it is a rather odd question but it is something I really need. I wont use more than 7 meg. I promise.

I could be wrong, but aren't these banner exchange scripts server killers? I've seen paid hosts who disallow them on the shared virtual accounts.

No, not really. Not one that will run on a MySql database. Perl chat rooms and message forums and stuff use alot of system recourses though.

I think the amount it will be used is more of a concern here. A perl non database script with 10 members runs a lot better than a php one with mysql with 100. How many people do you expect to join it? How many hits will the member sites get? Are the images remote or are they stored on the server with the script?
MySQL still uses resources, but compared to a flat file system its better. We used to run a banner exchange in perl and it didn't cause a server resource consumption problem, and we had about 30 members.

the images would he hosted on the users sites, not yours. Most of the sites that will sign up will have a low number of hits, the idea of the banner exchange is for them to get more though. I expect to have about 50 members at the most. I have a banner exchange now but it is so crappy. It was a affiliate program but I decided to make it into a banner exchange. This is something I really want, and intill I can find a good host, I cant use Mysql.

Have you considered moving to a host that offers PHP and MySQL? There are plenty of hosts on this board that have packages with the features you are looking for, at reasonable prices.

Have you checked out valuablehost.com? They offer hosting at $3.00 with 100 megs of space and 1 mySQL database.
