Isearched hotscripts, googled and asked around but am still looking for a *free* image hosting script - I am interested in setting up a free image hosting site but wanted to explore it fairly cheaply!

Any ideas??

Yes, but gallery isn't image hosting. I think he means a script that will setup a folder when they register, and they will be able to upload there images to that directory through the website.

Not hard to make, although it would be a little bit of a time waster.

^ yeah the script shouldn't be too hard to do. but maybe he just wants a script the doesn't need the user to register and all images are public. I've seen a few of them free on hotscripts.

Thanks for the comments - yep it isn't a ton of work to create what I want but more than I have time for!!

Ideally I want clients to have to register, I want to monitor bandwidth/usage of each image/account etc etc I would like to have different plans (bandwidth, # images etc) so people could migrate from free to paid etc

Although I could build all this I am seriously lacking time so I was hoping there was one out there. Also this is a test so I dodn't want to invest a ton of time & money if I could help it!!!

Thanks - I had seen coppermine but I think it is more gallery album based, probably more comlex than I need but I'll spend some more time checking it out.

Well, just gave a real answer...

an "Image Hosting Scripts" Isnt gallery nor Coppermine..

Now, if Tarheel is looking for an Image Gallery/Album, then hotscripts.com - php.resourceindex.php will prevail hundreads of soruces...

If you are looking for an Image Hosting Script, then there arent any (which are Free)..

I really like this script as it gives a "real" image URL rather and a img.php?u=blahblah&i=2 which is sometimes blocked by many forum scripts. Yet it still tracks bandwidth due to the use of mod_rewrite. If you need help, I can help you setup somthing like photo bucket.
