Could anyone provide me with some info on this please? Maybe a site or a number I could call. Thanks, Steve.

Steve,

There's basically two options for you, sole trade and private limited company. Sole trader is simpler, basically it just means filling in a self-assesment tax return and the end of the year (legally you and the business are the same 'person' - similar to a US citizen getting a DBA); you just phone up the Inland Revenue (http://www.inlandrevenue.gov.uk) and register - give them a ring on 08459 15 45 15 and they can get you registered in a few minutes.

Your second option is to go for a private limited company, this can limit your personal liability and look more professional, but it costs more (an accountant is a must). Companies House (http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk) can help you with information on running a LTD company.

You should really speak to an accountant and your local Business Link (http://www.businesslink.org), and not rely on advice on a forum.

best wishes,

Nath
