Interland has apparently bought Interliant's web hosting business. At 12AM on 2/9/2002 (Midnight Friday) they were supposed to move all dedicated servers to Interland. My server has been offline since then (it's now 7:25AM EST 2/10/2002). Is there anyone on the forum that has any information?
I was given no notice that my server was to be moved. If I was, I would certainly have made other hosting arrangements. This was a dedicated Cobalt RaQ.

Interland keeps gobbling up hosts and the customers keep suffering. You might search here and elsewhere for comments on their previous transition with the Hostpro purchase. Ultimately, if history serves us, the old plans will disappear. Particularly hurt were resellers.
Following is contact information although whether it will help or not I don't know.

Well you're slightly better off than I am if your Interland (formerly icom) web site has only been down since Friday. Mine's been down since Thursday, and still is as of now (Sunday evening). They said that the "service interruption" would not affect email -- it does. My email has been out since Saturday.
I'm going to switch my domain to another web host service tonight -- might as well, since there's no indication from Interland as to whether the "service interruption" will last a few moments or a few weeks!
I've been combing through the forums here checking out what companies people seem to like.
Wish me luck!

I just found out through some detective work and lots of phone calls that Interland managed to leave 13 servers, mine included, behind at Interliant as part of the server migration. Detective work that Interland should have done.
http://www.interland.com/interliantmapping/ is the useless site they kept pointing me to until I managed to find one competent person at Interliant who was willing to actually physically track down my server. Kudos to Interliant who in the past have given me great service and continued to do so when I'm not even their customer any longer.
All I got from Interland throughout this entire ordeal is "we'll update you when we have more information." Now, I'm the one updating them by finding the missing servers! Why they couldn't have told me previously that they couldn't locate my server is beyond me. At least then the answer, (look at Interliant), would have been obvious.
Well, now my server is finally back online after approx. 48 hours of being offline. 48 hours that should have been about 4 hours for this move. You can be sure that I will be making other hosting arrangements. I think I'll also fill out a form 1500 at my local post office to stop all the Interland postal junk mail I get.

The CommuniTech purchase by Interland has been a big rumor for a few weeks now. Thankfully, I have a backup plan.

Interland bought HostPro who used to be Vservers a few years ago.
