I shut down a server setup of mine and am selling a license for zeus web server 3.3.7 for use on linux
zeus allows the transfer of the license.
their terms allow it one one multiprocessor machine.
Im asking $900 and that would be a big chunk of their price and you could still pay for a 1 year upgrade plan and save hundreds or keep the current version and save more.

I am just wonderring, what can't be done (if there is any) on zeus webserver than can be done on apache? For example, installing mod_php, mod_frontpage, mod_cgi, etc, etc ... I might be interested in buying this ... not sure right now ...
cheers,

Zues dosn't support mod_php mod_frontpage. But it does have its own versions of such. Zeus runns php MUCh faster than linux. as well as it has full fp2002 support. And its CGI feature far surpass those of apache..
You know my icq if u have any questions.

im a little confused? I don't hang out here allot but don't see anything about bumping threads in the rules tab above, or the thread starter answering direct questions from people in the thread? I don't want to break rules but obviously would like to sell my license.
If I don't see those rules I don't get how im breaking them unless im missing something?

In my experience with zeus their are some things with this version 3.3.7 you cannot do even though zeus says it has support built in.
one is php. Yes it will work but the way they wanted you to run it causes problems under high traffic and it craps out. All they suggested in the end to me was to upgrade to the next version and it handled things differently. I didn't need it so didn't really care.
also in this version allot of stuff you might use in .htaccess won't work, like modrewrite and some other stuff. This version has some built in hotlink protection and that works so I didn't care much and just used the .htaccess for redirecting error code pages to one page which worked fine.
all the other stuff like webserving and configuring sites works right from the start and served me perfectly, even under high traffic, compared to a newbie with apache and getting allot of hits. I guess it scales well with 2 processors.
supposedly allot of stuff has been improved in later versions of zeus but you would have to check out their site and especially their support list to see what real users are up to.

what'w wrong with what he is doing? damac is simply answering my questions. If he simply edit his original post, then I won't know that he has replied ... I think answering people questions should not be thought as bumping the thread ... Many do the same!
cheers,

He originally had a thread with only the word "bump" in it. He added all the answers after I posted my comment.
