I have scoured the net on ways to do this with Windows 2000 Pro/ICS to forward all port 80 requests to another machine on the lan.

Does anyone have any ideas how to do this? I ran out of ideas so this is my last resort posting here.

Thanks!

Winproxy is a not bad system, it allows quick configuration of port forwarding, runs on win boxes, does virus checking, command filtering, logging, cache, site restrictions, dial on demand, transparent proxy and NAT.

I think its a good program if your not using the operating systems features, if your os can port forward, dont know about 2000/PRO.

You can also download a 1 month evaluation verion from there site.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, I don't think you can do it with W2K Pro's ICS. :(

Can you tell me why not? I know nothing about win2k pro and have never used it. I just know a bit about winproxy on earlier platforms but I am interested as to why this should be a problem, does 2kpro not have some sort of port forwarding mechanisim anyway?

Please forgive my ignorance, I refuse to invest money in M$ so I just wouldnt know, but would like to.

I'm a big fan of WinRoute Pro from Kerio (used to be Tiny Software) at kerio.com.

I used to use it at home before I finally got a spare linux box for a router.

I used that smashing link at practically networked to setup my ICS and it all worked fine, Only port forwarding is my issue- in the ICS settings there look like some things that are to do with port forwarding but they dont seem to do anything when i play around with settings :(
