I have RedHat 7.2 currently installed,
and on the RedHat FTP under updates I see a few different kernel upgrades... Which one should I pick? And why?

I have an AMD XP 1700+
Updates for:

Athlon
i386
i486
i586
i686
ia64 (what is that?)
[/list=a]

Use athlon. AMD XP is Athlon XP. ia64 is for Itanium processor.
