ANybody else having problems with vietnam specifically?

we receive countless fraud orders from vietnam ip's, of course none get through because we verify everything... but they ALWAYS TRY, so many every day for months now.

We see most the signups are coming from hacker forums, and we even have some customers sites hacked (phpnuke etc) hacked bu these groups, for example

www.viethacker.name/forum

i try reporting these sites, but often i give up.... its often a shared account on a reseller account on a leased dedicated server in a colocated datacenter etc.. with nuff bogus information, i've called some companies like theplanet for example and they show little interest in investigating...

i cannot read these sites, but i can only assume their intentions are not good as I see the my company name in them sometimes, or sometimes a customers site name... and a bunch of smile faces and such, and the sites get blanked out and cartook pictures with like their eyes crossed out and stuff...

any comments/suggestions?

sometimes i feel like the only solution is retaliation... but i don't bother as it could just bring on an army of them.

Its a pain. And your right, theres a lack of support for finding out who these people are. It seems like contacting abuse emails never gets you anywhere these days.

Just had two attempted signups with IP's from Vietnam today. You know, free email address and the IP doesn't jive with home address. Seems to be the big hot spot for this kind of activity.
It’s not a good idea to enable instant account activation…I'm sure that’s what they are looking for. :smash:

Http://www.fraudgate.com is your friend. Whois.cart has it integrated as well :0)

There is also the option of just blocking all vietnam IPs. Ask yourself if the revenue generated from legit vietnamise (sp?) customers is worth the amount of time spent weeding through fraud.
