View Full Version : LightOne Servers WITHOUT setup fee!

StarGate
02-08-2002, 08:00 PM
Hello WHT folks,

now that LightOne has moved to a big data center, we are offering you the server in this thread ( http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32781 ) by LightOne but without the setup fee AND 1GB of RAM and NOT 512MB with the Athlon package.

If you read their offer you will see that with 1GB RAM it's 99$+30$=129$ month, also 150$ setup fee.

Well, WE only ask for the 129$/month and waive the setup fee for you! Means, you pay the same WITHOUT the setup fee!

And another advantage: We always have 1-2 servers already running so you will NOT have to wait the absolutely normal 5-7 business days until YOUR server comes online... ;)

Waiting for your orders!

You can reply here, send a private message or contact me over ICQ 5145398.

Also you are welcome to call me n my office +30 10 6655090 and/or on my private cell phone +30 97 7585686

In a period of time of a little more then 24h we were able to sell and setup all 5 servers we had in stock. Actually 4... the 5th will roll out to a client by the end of next week who agreed to wait until then.

But this offer is NOT over. We will need about 1 month to roll over the funds we drained on setup fees for this month and we will be back with 5 more servers then. Everybody who messaged us but could not receive a server: We will be back but do NOT put your business on hold! :) I wish we have had more means to satisfy all 12 customers who wished to sign up with us!

I would like to thank the WHT community for making our debute in selling dedicated servers such a great success and I am really looking forward to continue this offer next month AND for more to come!

Love to all
Robert

I thought I would drop my .02 cents here since I was one of the first to take advantage of Roberts current offering.

Robert has been very professional and helpful in providing me with my dedicated server. I received exactly what was promised and all in excellent working condition. I am a linux admin by trade and have thoroughly checked over the server I received. It is an excellent machine and seems to be very capable of server the large amount of traffic to my site.

I have also some preliminary testing on the lightone bandwidth to my dedicated server and I am very happy to report to you the results.

Be careful, I ordered and it has been 2 weeks now and still no server and they have my credit card number too. I will be contacting my credit card company to be sure I block this company from charging my card anything.

I was given the excuse that they had some motherboard problems and had to purchase some and they were overnighted and they would be ready in a day or so. Well that was over a week and a half ago and still nothing.

Come to find out they post here that they have worked out all the connection problems now, so which was the reason to put me off, bad connections, bad motherboards or just simply bad customer service period?

Who knows, just be careful and I hope you get a decent server from them as I never did:(

Say WHAT ??? M8 I would suggest you read into the forums first and THEN post false accusations here!

LightOne already stated in their offer that it will take some time to sign up new customers because their priority is to FIRST ensure QUALITY and THEN sign up new customers.

So you gave them your cc-info... SO WHAT??? I have hundreds of cc-infos fro my customers, that does not mean that I will commit a criminal offense!

Just for your information: IF you had even read THIS read you just posted in, you would know that I got 5 (!!!) servers from them which I already rented to clients.

Do me a favor and stop posting crap!
Your post is highly inapropriate and is plain BASHING to me. Also it has NOTHING to do with my offer and I would kindly ask you to NOT post in MY offer anymore unless you have something to say that IS related to MY offer!

Sorry your wrong, I was told 3 days minimum...this has nothing to do with you, I thought this was a ligthone post, not an affiliate to lightone.

Anyway, it's not a good thing for companies to have your CC # on file after you have canceled or left, companies, which I will leave nameless are sometimes known to fraudulently charge your card anyway or keep charging you after you quit:(

Anyway, this post had nothing to do with you and sorry for posting under yours, but you posted as a lightone ad, not my fault.

Sorry, overlooked that... ;)
I, i.e. we (StarGate IT Systems), handle support which implies of course very tight cooperation with the LightOne staff. The result of this is a more concentrated and efficient support as we filter all the common problems and solve them based on our experience and are sometimes in the position to help even further then the initial problem demanded.

All problems related to hardware and connectivity are instantly passed to the LightOne staff and is being taken care of by them and also verified by us.

@vvinc2k: No problem :) I understand your concerns about credit card information and I hav ethe same opinion that you have!
CC-security is an endless story and it always comes down to trust. As to LightOne, I can assure you that you do NOT have to worry. EOT (end of topic)

I also want a server. ASAP please. Send me all server specs through PM or through email. I need to know exactly what is included. I need security installed on my servers and a control panel etc. like on rackshack.net but they don't have security so I'm hoping you do.

Thanks,
Mark

What security measures are taken at RackShack?

RackShack takes security very seriously. Every precaution is taken to ensure that absolutely no one has access to your server other than our technical staff. Passkeys and locks ensure that your server is safe and secure. We do not monitor content and do not release customer profiles or disseminate customer information.

BrentD,

What I meant by no security is no firewalls, etc on the servers they sell. I have been emailing back and forth trying to get more information on security but they tell me that the security is up to me. I can install any security software I want (but they don't list any for me) and they won't help me with it (no support).

That's why I want security on my systems. I don't want my server being broken into.
