I think most registars have closed their promotional offers but you should be able to get one at low cost. Check GoDaddy.

#1 Domain Names International apparently still has them... but I've never used them so I cannot give an opinion as to their service or credibility:

Good Luck, mewcat ;)

I would add Hostway to the list:

MyDomain.com still offers 25 free .info domains. The promotion will end in about a week.

STick with known registrars , Go away from namesecure..They Charged me $360 for 24 .info domain(They confirmed it with the bank so it's not just an authorize request) , and they wrote "25 free info in their website"

I was about to register and hten found out only US and CA residents were welcome to register domains. UK residents were referred to their UK site.

What about other europe countries? not possible to register with them? the UK site has a foreign company choice, anyone outside UK/US/CA registered domains with 1and1 ?

and dose anyone have experience from hostway?

Dear AbsolutelyFreeWeb .

STICK WITH KNOWN registrar .

I advise you to try :

-eNom.com ( you can create your free reseller account, there are alot offering them around and start register domains for $8.95 or less!)

-Directi.com < Good reseller program .

-Tucows also is a good choice .

We do have both wwd and enom reseller accounts. but by registering for free we save ~25x8=200$

but it's good advice :)

Hi,

If you want to register your info domains for free go with a honest registrar : mydomain.com i think they still have the offer.

Thanks, do you know if there is any problem transferring out from them later? because they have a caluse in their agreement, they require permission and fees to be paid prior to a transfer. I've posted that clause here:

FanCube,

Do mydomain.com require Credit Card for registering .info domain names as well?

After trying to process a .info domain, in the registration agreement it states...

*Special Limited Time Offer for .INFO domains:

User must enter a valid credit card during checkout process to protect against fraud.

So unfortunately yes.

I've got a bad feeling about these people, folks. I'm not sure..something is just not right. Oh...I sent their agreement to printer1..16 pages?!?!. I going to review this...line per line and get back to you on this.

Well...it'sa monster..but there are no surprises. I'm going in...why should I pay $1.95 for the first year when I don't have to? What are they going to do...try to charge me $18.00/domain for the second year. I can't believe they would do that. I'm going to give it a shot, anyways. BRB

Done. I registered 19 domains for nothing. :) I think...we'll see if everything (anything) works tomorrow.

Yup. It's a done deal. Very fast...very nice...just like Ev1. Of course..with the *.infos..the dns is done by ultraDNS anyways.
DNSstuff.com will give it a bad rating...but it's simply not true at all. Be back in a few...hours. ZZZ time.
