I hope that this is an appropriate place to post this, but I am looking for some volunteer beta testers. If this is inappropriate, I hope the mods will move it. I have developed a php(I have run it on 3.0 and 4.0)/MySQL knowledge base. It is similar in function and style to the WonderDesk Knowledge Base but is database driven. If you would like to volunteer here is the deal.

I would like for you to use it for minimum of 30 days and report any bugs to me. You promise not to use the beta edition on your website beyond 30 days without purchasing a license. I agree to sell you a if you want one for $40 (retail price will be $60) at the conclusion of the beta test. The license will cover the use of the Knowledge Base script on one domain. The license will entitle you to free upgrades for life on the Knowledge Base itself. This will not include the additional applications that may be developed to integrate with it.

If interested email me at mghoskins@tlcwe.com. Please send me the name of your website and your php version and MySQL version that you will be running it on. I would like to have this information to put on file. I am looking for about 5 poeple, so I will probably make choices based on getting the broadest exposure to php and MySQL versions.

You can see a working demo at http://tlcwe.com/kbase

...might want to fix your MySQL username first. :)

Warning: MySQL Connection Failed: Access denied for user: 'change me@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /home/tlcwe/tlcwe-www/kbase/index.php on line 6

Marty,

What would you say differentiates your product from something like FAQ-O-Matic?

Carlos,

Yes

Travis,

I don't know anything about FAQ-O-Matic. I can tell you that mine has a web based administration panel where all things such as the look and feel can be altered within limits, of course. 2nd, probably the biggest thing will be when the next application is released, which will be a help ticket system. I intend to integrate the two together so that when you right a response to a ticket and want that response to become part of the knowledge base you can do so automatically.

Ah ha... now, that's a good idea. And your application certainly looks better than FAQ-O-Matic. ;)

You might want to check out out just for reference... it's what I'm using right now.

Sounds interesting.... How long do you think it will be before you have a ticket integrated with this product? Drop me an e-mail and we'll talk about beta testing the current product.
