Thanks JayC 11-29-2000, 06:40 PM I have one. It's great, receives a strong signal in places (like the second floor of my house, or inner rooms at the office) where my old phone was unusable. In the most important categories in evaluating a cell phone, it excells: signal strength, sound quality, ergonomics, size and weight. Some of the features aren't, as far as I'm concerned, particularly useful. The calendar/todo list for example isn't very easy to use, being consttrained of course by having to use a little phone keypad to enter items! I like having the alarm clock and countdown timer, though. Pro: it looks cool, especially when I put it next to my Sony Vaio laptop. :) Con: it's pretty pricey. Overall, though, I think it's a good value. DynastyHost 11-30-2000, 01:33 PM One question... Does your clock work when you are not on their network? I don't think so. JayC 11-30-2000, 06:14 PM Originally posted by DynastyHost Does your clock work when you are not on their network?Nope. Neither does the voice memo, or the todo list, or other features. I guess that might be an issue depending on where you live. I'm in New York; I'm always on their network. I chose SprintPCS originally because they had coverage in all of the cities I normally travel to for client visits, and their coverage of highways and airports is extensive. So generally I'm only off the network when I want to be, like while in the Adirondacks last weekend, and at those times I usually don't want a clock (or a cell phone, for that matter)! |
